SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Olivet College women's basketball team dropped a game to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Saint Mary's (Ind.) College, 68-49, tonight at the Angela Athletic Center.

- The Belles jumped out to an 8-2 lead before a 7-0 Comet run made the score 9-8 at the 5:29 mark of the first quarter. Saint Mary's answered with back-to-back three-pointers to go up 14-9. Senior Alicia Bullaro drained a three-pointer from the right baseline to close the gap to two points. The Belles scored four of the final five points of the period for an 18-13 lead to start the second quarter.
- Saint Mary's started the second period on a 5-2 run to gain its largest lead of the game, 23-15. Olivet responded with an 8-3 scoring spurt to trim its deficit down to three points. The teams traded baskets to create another three-point differential, 28-25. The Belles maintained the lead at halftime, 33-28.
- To begin the third quarter, the Belles put the first eight points on the scoreboard to take their first double digit lead of the game. The closest the Comets would get for the rest of the game was eight points around the midpoint of the third stanza.
- Sophomore Zoee Zatarga paced all scorers with 16 points. She also grabbed a team-best nine rebounds.
- Freshman Courtney Balazs finished with 11 points.
- Senior Logan Kyre added 10 points.
- Christina Shadid led the Belles with 12 points.
- Ellie Deardorff came off the bench to score 10 points.
- Julia Schultz pulled down a game-best 13 rebounds, with five coming on the offensive glass.
- Olivet hosts nationally-ranked Hope College Saturday at 1 p.m. It is the first game of a basketball doubleheader at the Cutler Event Center, as the Comet men will also play Hope after the women's game at approximately 3 p.m.
