Records: Calvin 4-5 overall, 3-2 MIAA; Olivet 1-8 overall, 1-6 MIAA
- The Knights built an 11-5 lead before freshman Savannah Pavoni made back-to-back jump shots to make the score 11-9 at the 3:31 mark of the opening quarter. Calvin scored the last six points of the quarter for a 17-9 advantage at the start of the second stanza.
- The Comets closed the gap to seven points, 19-12, after sophomore Zara Weber drained a three-pointer with 8:39 showing on the second-quarter clock. Olivet would not get any closer for the rest of the period, as the Knights led by 12 points twice, including 31-19 at halftime.
- The teams combined to score 39 points in the third quarter, including 24 for Calvin. The Knights then outscored the Comets 22-7 over the final 10 minutes of the game.
- Senior DeeDee Post was the only Olivet player to reach double figures in the scoring column, as she had a team-best 11 points. Post also shared game-high honors with nine rebounds.
- Senior Kim Buie grabbed eight rebounds.
- Gabby Timmer led all players with 22 points.
- Leah Harris contributed 21 points and eight assists.
- Timmer and Rebecca Boeve each tallied nine rebounds.
- Olivet will be on the road next Monday, March 1, for a quarterfinal game of the 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament. Opponents and game times will be announced later tonight or tomorrow.
