OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's basketball team came up short against Alma College, 55-35, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) game tonight inside the Cutler Event Center.

Records: Alma 7-6 overall, 2-3 MIAA; Olivet 1-7 overall, 1-5 MIAA
- The Scots led 14-4 at the end of the opening quarter, and 35-12 at halftime. The second half was nearly even on the scoreboard, as the Comets outscored Alma, 12-9, in the third period and both teams scored 11 points in the fourth quarter.
- Sophomore Brianna Alexander came off the bench to lead all scorers with 19 points.
- Senior DeeDee Post tallied seven points and grabbed a team-best seven rebounds.
- Jeny Brandt, Morgan Hanchett and Taylor Sas scored 12 points apiece.
- Brandt pulled down a team-best 10 rebounds.
- Prior to the game, Olivet recognized its five seniors – Post, Kim Buie, Sydnee Dennis, Logan Kyre and Fayth Talbert.
- Olivet concludes the regular season Saturday when it travels to play Calvin University. Tip-off from Van Noord Arena in Grand Rapids is 3 p.m.
