BLUFFTON, Ohio – Junior DeeDee Post made two free throws with 1.4 seconds left to help the Olivet College women's basketball team upset Westminster (Pa.) College, 61-59, in the first game of the McDonald's of Bluffton Holiday Classic, held at Bluffton University's Sommer Center. The Titans entered the game with a perfect 10-0 record.

- In the first quarter, the Comets led by as many as seven points, 15-8, at the 4:27 mark. The Titans answered with a 7-0 run to tie the game at the end of the quarter.
- Both teams made a three-pointer to start the second quarter. Neither team had a lead of more than two points until Natalie Murrio drained a three-pointer to put Westminster ahead by five points, 27-22, with 4:31 left until halftime.
- The Titans led by five points one more time before Olivet went on a 8-2 run to take their first lead of the quarter, 32-31. Westminster split four free throws to go back ahead 33-32. Junior Fayth Talbert made a layup to give the Comets a 34-33 halftime lead.
- With the score level at 37-37 at the 5:21 mark of the third stanza, Olivet scored seven straight points in a 47-second span. The Comets maintained the edge for the rest of the quarter and led 48-42 to start the fourth period.
- Olivet kept the lead until there was 1:04 remaining when Magen Polczynski made a three-pointer to put the Titans ahead 57-56. Freshman Hannah Brown responded with a three-pointer for a 59-57 Comet lead. Kayla Bennett made a layup to tie the game.
- After an Olivet timeout with 29 seconds left, senior Tammy Lee missed a shot but junior DeeDee Post grabbed the offense rebound and was fouled. Post drained the two ensuing and game-winning free throws.
- For the game, the Comets shot 38.9 percent (21-of-54) compared to 32.2 percent (19-of-59) for the Titans. Both teams made nine shots from behind the arc. Westminster made two more free throws (12 to 10) but Olivet shot a higher percentage from the charity stripe (83.3 percent to 63.2 percent).
- Senior Amari Brown finished with a game-high 18 points.
- Post scored 13 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had three steals.
- Hannah Brown tallied 11 points.
- Talbert scored six points, pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds (10 off the defensive glass) and blocked five shots.
- Brooke Lyczek came off the bench to score a team-leading 17 points.
- Kayla Bennett added 10 points and team-best eight rebounds.
- The Comets face Cairn (Pa.) University tomorrow in their second game at the McDonald's of Bluffton Holiday Classic. Tip-off is at 12 p.m.
