The Olivet College women’s basketball team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) leader Calvin College, 87-63, tonight at the Upton Center in Olivet.

The Comets (7-8, 4-4 MIAA) were led by senior Audrey Graham (Battle Creek/Lakeview), who posted game-high honors in points (23) and team-high honors in rebounds (six). Junior Amy Brackenwagen (Grand Ledge) added 12 points and two assists along with zero turnovers in 32 minutes.
The Knights (14-1, 8-1 MIAA), ranked No. 8 in the latest d3hoops.com Top 25 poll, had four players reach double figures in the scoring column. Marcia Harris had a team-high 22 points. Lisa Winkle was next with 14, followed by Nikki Zimmerman and Brook VanEck with 12 and 10, respectively. Winkle also recorded a game-high 11 rebounds and three blocked shots.
Olivet will travel to play Tri-State (Ind.) University Saturday, Jan. 20, to begin the second half of its 2006-07 MIAA schedule. Tip-off from Hershey Hall is 3 p.m. On Dec. 2, the Comets defeated the Thunder, 89-56.
