The women's basketball team was defeated by non-league foe Aquinas College, 58-41, tonight at the Aquinas Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids.
Junior Kari Searles (Marshall) was the only Lady Comet (5-3) in double figures with 13 points. Freshman Amy Brackenwagen (Grand Ledge) grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, followed by sophomore Cassie Monette (Holt) with seven.
The Saints (8-3) were led by Heather Orr with a game-high 21 points, followed by Ashley Heuvelman with 18 points and nine rebounds. Three Aquinas players pulled down seven rebounds each.
Olivet resumes Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play Wednesday, Dec. 15 at Kalamazoo College. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
