Olivet College STUNT team finishes second at DIII National Championships

ALMA, Mich. – The Olivet College STUNT team split two games to finish in second-place at the 2021 Division III National Championships May 2 at Alma College. In their first match, the Comets defeated No. 2 seed Hiram (Ohio) College, 11-6. In the championship match, Olivet fell to the host Scots, 18-1.

Against Hiram, the teams were tied 2-2 after the first quarter. Olivet shutout the Terriers 2-0 in the second quarter to take a 4-2 at the halftime break. Both teams earned a point to start the third quarter before the Comets won a point for a three-point cushion, 6-3, to start the final quarter. Olivet went on to out-score the Terriers, 5-2, in the fourth quarter.

Against Alma, the Comets scored their only team point in the opening quarter.
