ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College softball team was topped by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 8-0 and 11-1, today at Dempsey Field.

- Records: Olivet 0-20 overall, 0-12 MIAA; Albion 12-19 overall, 4-8 MIAA
- The Britons scored two runs in the first inning, five runs in the second and one run in the fourth inning.
- Sophomore Summer Smith broke up the Albion pitcher's no-hitter with a two-out single in the fifth inning.
- The Britons sent 12 batters to the plate and scored seven runs in the top of first inning.
- The Comets pushed across their lone run in the home half of the first. Senior Erin Brady led off with a single and advanced to third on freshman Corina Hernandez's sacrifice bunt. Junior Meredith Morrel then hit a single to score Brady.
- Albion capped the scoring with a single tally in the third before adding three runs in the sixth.
- The Comets travel to South Bend, Indiana, next Wednesday, May 3, for a doubleheader against Saint Mary's (Ind.) College. First pitch is at 3 p.m.
