ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College softball team played two non-conference games this afternoon at Albion College’s Dempsey Field. The Comets were shutout by the host Britons, 3-0, and Kalamazoo College, 13-0.

ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College softball team played two non-conference games this afternoon at Albion College's Dempsey Field. The Comets were shutout by the host Britons, 3-0, and Kalamazoo College, 13-0.

- The Britons scored their three runs in the second on a RBI-ground out and two-run triple.
- The Comets' best opportunity to score came in the fifth inning when they left two runners stranded in scoring position.
- Olivet recorded six hits.
- Freshman Sarah Shevenell was 2-for-3 with two singles.
- Sophomore Jessica Barnes and junior Kaylee Clothier each hit a double.
- Shevenell was the losing pitcher. She gave up the three runs on four hits over the first three innings.
- Freshman Katie Lenz tossed three innings of scoreless relief.
- The Britons tallied six hits.
- Felicia Maximiuk hit the aforementioned two-run triple.
- Other extra-base hits were doubles by Lauren Beougher and Lilly Patillo.
- In the circle, Ashley Pion went the distance to earn the win. She struck out eight and walked one.
