Senior pitcher Erica Anderson (Casnovia/Kent City) earned first-team honors, while freshmen Danielle Martin (Lansing/Lansing Catholic) and Alisha Ridsdale (Laingsburg) are second-team selections. All-MIAA honors are based on a player's statistics during league play.
Anderson, who also earned 2005 first-team All-MIAA honors, posted a 7-3 record and two saves to go along with a 1.84 ERA in 61 innings pitched. She struck out 38 and walked only 13 batters. Opponents had a .211 batting average against her.
Martin had a .313 batting average with 15 base hits. She also tied for first in the MIAA with six doubles and 19 RBI. Ridsdale recorded a .333 batting average with 14 hits. Her four home runs and .714 slugging percentage ranked second and third, respectively, in the MIAA.
Freshmen Kacey Darling (Hartford), Christina Luna (Charlotte), Kacie Rosecrants (Parma/Western), Katie Walker (Lansing/ Everett) and Heidi Wear (Hastings/Wayland) earned coaches' honorable mention honors.
Under the direction of third-year Head Coach James Farnum, the Comets had a 24-12 overall record and were fourth in the MIAA with a 10-6 mark. Olivet participated in the MIAA Tournament for the third time in the last four years. In addition, the Comets broke the single-season school record for wins (24), triples (21) and home runs (22).
