Horanburg named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Softball second-team
Olivet College senior first baseman Kim Horanburg (Grand Ledge High School) has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District IV Softball second-team.
OLIVET, Mich. -- Olivet College senior first baseman Kim Horanburg (Grand Ledge High School) has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District IV Softball second-team. The District IV teams are selected by sports information directors in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.
Horanburg, who carries a 3.50 grade point average (GPA) in history, led the Lady Comets with a .437 batting average, 45 base hits, 25 RBIs, .534 slugging percentage and .478 on-base percentage in 2004. She shared the team lead with 55 total bases and was third with eight doubles and 23 runs scored.Horanburg leaves Olivet as its all-time best hitter with a .444 batting average (99-of-223). She is also the career leader with 24 doubles and ranks second with 99 hits, 45 runs scored, 52 RBIs and 137 total bases.
