Cross country teams compete at LCC Invitational
LANSING, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s and women’s cross country teams competed today at the 2021 Lansing Community College Invitational, run at Grand Woods Park. The men’s team finished eighth of 22 schools, while the women’s team was 12th of 19 schools. The field was comprised of schools from all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA levels.

The men's team finished eighth of 22 schools, while the women's team was 12th of 19 schools. The field was comprised of schools from all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA levels.

- Olivet totaled 241 points.
- Sophomore Hayden Germain placed 13th of 183 runners in the 8K (5 mile) men's race, with a time of 27:01.8.
- Junior Chase Mendham was 21st with a time of 27:31.7.
- Sophomore Hunter Hillard finished 30th with a time of 27:51.2.
- Senior Kyle McDowell clocked-in at 30:46.0.
- Junior Zac Schneck completed the run in 31:40.2.
- Olivet recorded 328 points.
- Freshman Abbey Peters led the Comets, as she was 27th of 172 runners. She finished the 5K (3.1 mile) run in 20:39.7.
- Junior Savannah Baker placed 79th in 22:13.8.
- Senior Kaylee Richardson covered the race in 22:27.5 to finish in 86th-place.
- Sophomore Tonya Tepin had a time of 22:50.8.
- Sophomore Sam Susalla finished in 22:53.6.
- Olivet heads to Oberlin, Ohio, on October 16, for the Inter-Regional Rumble.
