Men’s cross country team kicks-off season with home meet

CHARLOTTE, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s cross country team opened the 2021 season by hosting the Comet Open at the Broadway Acres Golf Course in nearby Charlotte. The meet was unscored and featured the Comets along with Adrian College, Albion College, Great Lakes Christian College, Hope College, Jackson College, Kellogg Community College and Lansing Community College.

Sophomore Hayden Germain finished fifth of 65 runners with a time of 16:13.
Senior Dustin Rutter placed 13th with a time of 16:43.
Sophomore Hunter Hillard and junior Chase Mendham were 18th and 19th with times of 16:58 and 17:04, respectively.
Senior Kyle McDowell clocked-in at 18:13 to finish in 37th-place.

Olivet is off until Friday, September 17, when it competes at the Michigan State University Spartan Invitational.
