Cross country teams wrap-up season at NCAA Regional

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams closed out the 2019 season by running at the 2019 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional, hosted by Calvin University and ran at the Gainey Athletic Complex in Grand Rapids.

Location: Gainey Athletic Complex; Grand Rapids, Michigan

• The Comets placed 30th of 37 schools with 854 points.
• Sophomore Kyle McDowell had Olivet's fastest time, as he ran the course in 26:17.0.
• Junior Kyle Markley was next at 26:45.2.
• Junior Jaden Costa finished in 27:15.5.
• Freshman Chase Mendham had a time of 27:38.0.
• Due to course conditions, the race was approximately 500 meters short of the normal 8K run.

• Olivet did not have the minimum number of five runners to be eligible for a team score.
• Sophomore Kaylee Richardson was Olivet's top finisher, as she complete the race in 24:58.8.
• Freshman Savannah Baker ran the course in 27:23.7.
• Because of course conditions, the race was shortened by roughly 400 meters.
