Cross country teams run at the Lansing Community College Invitational
The Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams ran today at the Lansing Community College Invitational. The men placed third out of eight teams with 95 teams. The women finished in eighth place.

Individually, sophomore Jeremy Shephard (Kalamazoo/Mattawan High School) finished in ninth-place with a time of 26:47 to lead the Fighting Comets. He was followed by junior Robert Dodson (Elsie/Ovid-Elsie High School) in 15th (27:18), junior Chad Kaiser (Lachine/Alpena High School) in 16th (27:20), junior Andrew Lapham (Kinde Huron High School) in 23rd (27:33) and sophomore Dan Kimball (National City/Oscoda High School) in 32nd (28:07).
Sophomore Rebecca Dawson (Williamsburg/Elk Rapids High School) paced the Lady Comets with a time of 20:20. She was followed by freshman Jessica Pletz (Lake/Farwell High School) in 21:33, sophomore Rachel Strelecki (Sterling/Standish-Sterling High School) in 21:43, freshman Mehgan Sanson (Brown City High School) in 22:21 and senior Larissa Kequom (Charlotte High School) in 23:27.
Olivet is next in action on Friday, Oct. 10 when it participates in the Michigan Collegiate Championships at Grand Valley State University.
