Bio

Nick Perakes is in his fifth season as an assistant men's volleyball coach at The University of Olivet in 2024.

A native of Orlando, Florida, Perakes has more than 10 years of volleyball coaching experience. He coached club and high school volleyball in Illinois and Michigan. He also served as an assistant men's and women's coach at Limestone College in 2011, and assistant women's coach at University of Toledo from 2012-13.

Perakes graduated from Lewis (Ill.) University with a bachelor's degree in athletic training. While there, he was a four-year starting libero. Perakes earned 2009 All-Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association First Team honors after ranking eighth in the nation with 2.82 digs per set. He ended his career as the Flyers' career digs leader (964) and was a three-time MIVA Academic All-Conference honoree.
