UOlivet ends season with loss at Wabash

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Olivet men's volleyball team closed the curtain on the 2025 season with a three-set loss to Wabash (Ind.) College this afternoon on Chadwick Court.
THE BASICS
- Final Score: Wabash defeated Olivet 25-13, 25-22, 25-17
- Location: Chadwick Court; Crawfordsville, Indiana
- Records: Olivet 3-21 overall, 0-8 MCVL; Wabash 16-10 overall, 4-4 MCVL
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first set, the Little Giants scored the first two points. The Comets answered with the next points. Wabash then went on a 3-0 run to go up 5-2 and never looked back. The Little Giants won the set 25-13.
- In the second set, Wabash took a five-point lead, 11-6. Olivet answered with an 8-1 spurt to take a 14-12 lead. The Comets held the lead until the Little Giants went ahead 17-16. The Comets scored the next two points to go up 18-16. Olivet maintained the lead until Wabash ended the set on a 5-0 run to win it, 25-22.
- In the third set, the Little Giants used a 4-0 burst to turn a 7-6 deficit into a 10-7 lead. Wabash held onto the lead for the rest of the set.
FOR THE COMETS
- Olivet ended the match with 30 kills, including 10 by sophomore Aiden Chamblee.
- Freshman Silas Martin had nine kills and posted a .207 attack percentage.
- Senior Will Mensching dished out 26 assists.
- Junior Matthew Tollar recorded seven digs.
