Men’s Volleyball: Olivet defeated by Wittenberg in three sets

OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's volleyball team was on the losing end of a three-set Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) match to Wittenberg (Ohio) University today at the Cutler Event Center. The Tigers won by scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-14.

- After the Comets scored the first point of the opening set, the Tigers scored the next 10 points and never looked back. For the set, Wittenberg recorded a .565 attack percentage, as it had 13 kills with no errors on 23 attempts.
- The Tigers put the first two points on the scoreboard in the second set. Olivet answered with three straight points. Wittenberg responded with its own 3-0 run and did not trail for the rest of the set.
- Except for two ties, 1-1 and 2-2, the Tigers had a wire-to-wire lead in the third set.
- For the match, Wittenberg posted a .449 hitting percentage (39 kills, eight errors, 69 attempts) to negative .013 for the Comets.
- Senior Deontay Thomas led Olivet with six kills.
- Senior Everett Haynes finished with five kills and a .308 hitting percentage.
