HIRAM, Ohio – The University of Olivet men's volleyball team suffered two losses at the Hiram (Ohio) College Triangular this morning at Price Gymnasium. The Comets were swept by Arcadia (Pa.) University and lost in four sets to the host Terriers. Senior Kai Hartman was selected to the All-Tournament Team.
- Final Score: Arcadia defeated Olivet 25-18, 25-18, 25-14
- Location: Price Gymnasium; Hiram, Ohio
- Records: Olivet 2-10 overall, Arcadia 5-3 overall
- Early in the opening set, there were two lead changes and five tied scores. Following the fifth deadlock at 5-5, the Knights slammed down back-to-back-back kills and used a service ace to go up 9-5. Arcadia did not surrender its lead for the rest of the set.
- Besides a 1-1 tie, the Knights never trailed in the second and third sets.
- Senior Quinn Dickerson recorded nine of the 24 Olivet kills. He also had two service aces.
- Senior Everett Haynes finished with four kills to go along with a team-best nine set assists.
- Hartman collected a team-leading seven digs.
- Final Score: Hiram defeated Olivet 25-20, 25-14, 23-25, 25-19

- Records: Olivet 2-11 overall, Hiram 7-4 overall
- The teams traded the first six points of the first set to create three tied scores. After a 3-3 tie, the Terriers reeled off three straight points and never looked back.
- In the second set, neither team held a significant lead until Hiram went up four, 16-12. The Comets scored the next point but did not get any closer for the rest of the set.
- Olivet built a four-point lead, 11-7, in the third set. Hiram chipped away at its deficit and eventually leveled the score at 23-23. The Terriers committed a service error and ball handling error to hand the set to the Comets.
- The beginning of the fourth set was close, as there were several tied scores and lead changes. Following a 10-10 score, Hiram put the next two points on the scoreboard. The Terriers' lead grew to as many as four points, 19-15. Olivet fought back to cut the gap to two points, 21-19. After a timeout, Hiram scored the last four points to win the set.
- Senior Ethan Valente tallied a team-leading eight kills, followed by Dickerson with seven.
- Haynes dished out 22 set assists.
- Hartman, senior Will Mensching and sophomore Matthew Tollar registered seven digs apiece.
- The Comets are back in action next Saturday, February 17, when they host Wisconsin Lutheran College for two matches, starting at 1 p.m.
