Men’s Volleyball: Olivet falls in three sets at Lawrence Tech

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's volleyball team lost to Lawrence Technological University in three sets tonight at the Don Ridler Field House.
- Final Score: Lawrence Tech defeated Olivet 25-18, 25-10, 25-14
- Location: Don Ridler Field House; Southfield, Michigan
- Records: Olivet 2-4 overall, Lawrence Tech 1-0 overall
- The Comets led 3-1 in the first set before Lawrence Tech came back to even the score at 3-3. The teams traded points to cause four additional tied scores. After the fourth one at 7-7, the Blue Devils scored the next three points and did not give up the lead for the rest of the set.
- Except for two deadlocks at the start of the second set, Lawrence Tech held the lead from start-to-finish.
- The Blue Devils raced out to a 3-0 lead in the third set and never looked back.
- Olivet finished the match with just 15 kills.
- Senior Kai Hartman led the way with six kills, followed by freshman Ke'Shon Johnson with four.
- Senior Everett Haynes tallied a team-best 15 set assists and six digs.
- The Comets host Aquinas College next Thursday, February 1, for its home-opener at the Cutler Event Center. First serve is at 7 p.m.
