CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Olivet College senior Brock Pringle has earned 2020 All-Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) Second Team honors. In its short five-year history as a member of the MCVL, he becomes the first Comet to be an All-MCVL selection.
The 2020 season and Pringle's career in the Red and White ended prematurely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 15 matches, he had 120 kills to go along with a .169 attack percentage, 102 digs and 20 total blocks. Pringle finishes his time at Olivet as the all-time leader in virtually every statistical category. Those statistics include 270 sets played, 80 matches played, 608 kills, 1,815 attack attempts, 470 digs, 117 assisted blocks and 136 total blocks.
"Brock was a huge contributor to Olivet's team since he stepped on campus," said Olivet head coach Luke DeWitt. "We are excited for his place as the first Comet to snag an ALL-MCVL selection. Brock made great progress on the court and is more than deserving of this award. This season was especially solid for him with his high production in kills, blocks, digs, and hitting percentage. Brock is a player every program hates to let go of, especially earlier than expected."
