Chandler breaks UOlivet high jump record at Hillsdale Wide Track Classic

HILLSDALE, Mich. – Sophomore DeVondre Chandler broke The University of Olivet record in the high jump, as the Comet men's indoor track and field team participated in the Hillsdale College Wide Track Classic.
FOR THE COMETS
- Chandler won the high jump, with a clearance of 6 feet, 9-1/2 inches. In addition to being a school record, the mark is also tied for fourth on the NCAA Division III Performance List.
- Sophomore Kyle Redd finished fifth of 48 runners in the 400-meter dash (52.62). The time is 10th all-time at Olivet.
- Sophomore Kem Blassingame placed eighth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.25) and matched his season-best in the 60-meter dash (8.01).
- Senior Kayden Shrock ran a personal best time in the 800-meter run (2:05.64).
- Sophomore Austin Cole recorded a personal best mark in the weight throw (40 feet, 7-1/2 inches).
- Junior Kameron Newman had a personal best mark in the long jump (20 feet, 11-3/4 inches). The mark is eighth in school history.
- Posting season-best performances were:
- Freshman Kristopher Anaruk in the 60-meter dash (8.37)
- Freshman Mason Korn in the pole vault (11 feet, 10 inches)
- Freshman Yrral Campbell in the shot put (42 feet, 1-1/4 inches)
- Freshman Dontrell Thomas in the shot put (40 feet, 2 inches)
