Men’s Track and Field: Olivet tunes up at CUAA “Legacy” Meet

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's outdoor track and field team posted several personal- and season-best performances at the Concordia University Ann Arbor "Legacy" Meet.
- Fremeau finished in the top four in each of his throwing events, recording season bests in two. He won the discus throw (142 feet, 10 inches), took second in the hammer (160 feet, 1 inch) and placed fourth in the shot put (47 feet, 7-1/4 inches).
- The 4x400-meter relay team of sophomore Dontal Wright, freshman Luke Leighton, senior Jordon Brown and sophomore Jonathan Holloway won the race, while recording the seventh-fastest time in school history at 3:20.35.
- Brown was third in the 100-meter dash, clocking-in with a personal best time of 10.87 seconds. Also, in the 100-meter dash, freshman Peter Moore posted a season-best time of 11.77 seconds.
- In the 200-meter dash, Wright and Leighton posted season best times at 22.24 and 23.80 seconds, respectively. Wright's time ranks third all-time at Olivet.
- Freshman Keegan Nutt finished third in the pole vault (13 feet, 11-1/4 inches).
- Olivet now prepares for the 2024 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Field Day next Thursday and Friday, May 2-3. The championships are at Calvin University in Grand Rapids.
