Men’s Track and Field: Olivet places second at Hillsdale Invitational

HILLSDALE, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's outdoor track and field team placed second at the Hillsdale College Invitational. The Comets totaled 114 points to finish behind the host Chargers (258) but ahead of Lake Superior State University (89), Spring Arbor University (53), Northwood University (38) and Adrian College (3).
- Senior Hunter Hillard won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:24.92.
- Sophomore Jonathan Holloway had the quickest time in the 400-meter hurdles at 58.68 seconds.
- Sophomore Dontal Wright finished second in the 400-meter run at 50.94 seconds.
- Freshman Peter Moore was second in the triple jump (40 feet, 4 inches) and third in the long jump (20 feet, 3-3/4 inches). The triple jump mark is the 10th-best mark in school history.
- Freshman Keegan Nutt took second in the pole vault (13 feet, 9-3/4 inches).
- Freshman Owen Fremeau placed third in the discus (143 feet, 2 inches) and sixth in the shot put (45 feet, 4-1/4 inches).
- Freshman Austin Cole scored fourth-place points in the shot put (46 feet, 1-1/4 inches) and an eighth-place point in the discus (115 feet, 5 inches).
- Freshman Wanyai Johnson was sixth in the javelin with a season-best performance (125 feet, 3 inches).
- The Comets participate in the Concordia University-Ann Arbor Cardinals "Legacy" Meet next Saturday, April 27.
