Olivet College’s Brown named to USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region Team
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Olivet College’s Jordon Brown has earned 2023 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region honors. The top five individuals and members of a top-three ranked relay in each of the 10 regions are selected for this honor.
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Olivet College's Jordon Brown has earned 2023 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region honors. The top five individuals and members of a top-three ranked relay in each of the 10 regions are selected for this honor.
Brown was selected to the All-Region team in the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and long jump. His school-record times of 47.30 seconds in the 400 and 21.51 seconds in the 200 rank fourth and fifth, respectively in the Great Lakes Region. Brown's season-best mark of 7.01 meters (23 feet) is fifth in the region.
With this honor, Brown becomes the first six-time All-Region honoree in the history of the Olivet men's track and field program. He also earned All-Region honors in 2020, 2021 and 2023 indoors, as well as 2021 and 2022 outdoors.
Brown will compete in the 400-meter dash Friday at the 2023 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Rochester, New York. The preliminaries are at 5:15 p.m., with the top nine runners advancing to the finals Saturday at 2:10 p.m.
