In addition, Brown was voted the MIAA Most Valuable Outdoor Track Athlete. The All-MIAA team is comprised of the individual event winners and members of the winning relays at the MIAA Field Day.
Brown captured the league title in the 200- and 400-meter dashes to earn the spot on the All-MIAA Outdoor Team for the third time in his career. He broke the school record in both events, 21.51 seconds for the 200 and 47.30 seconds for the 400. The 400 time also set a MIAA Outdoor Championships record. Brown finished second in the long jump (23 feet) and ran on the fourth-place 4x400-meter relay and sixth-place 4x100-meter relay.
"It is hard to find words to describe the way that Jordon competed at the MIAA Field Day," stated Olivet head coach Karen Lutzke. "He was on fire through all of his events and that isn't easy to do when you are competing at home where expectations are high. Jordon made every event he competed in look easy. Jordon is at a different level than he was his freshman year, both athletically and maturity wise. Coach (Darroll) Gatson has done a tremendous job keeping Jordon on task in track and life to help him be the best version of Jordon Brown."
Brown is now a six-time All-MIAA selection. As he won the 400-meter dash at each of the last three MIAA Field Days, and the 2023 MIAA Indoor Championships and ran a leg of the winning 4x400-meter relays at the 2020 and 2021 MIAA Indoor Championships. His six All-league citations are the most by a male track and field athlete in school history. Brown earns the sixth Most Valuable Outdoor Track Athlete award in school history. The others were Ron Hobday in 1972, Bob Condon in 1976, Pat Peregoy in 1978 and 1980, and James Jackson in 1982.
Brown is currently tied for No. 10 in the 400 and tied for No. 36 in the 200 on the NCAA Division III Performance List. The top 22 runners will advance to compete at the 2023 NCAA Division III Championships May 25-27 at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex in Rochester, New York.
