Brown chosen MIAA Track Athlete of the Week
HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Olivet College senior Jordon Brown has been tabbed the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Olivet College senior Jordon Brown has been tabbed the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
At the Grand Valley State University / Al Owens Classic, Brown won the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.36 seconds. The time tops the MIAA performance list by more than one second. He also ran a leg on the 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays. The 4x100 relay clocked-in at 44.52 seconds, and the 4x400 relay had a season-best time of 3:26.11.
"Friday was Jordon's first 400-meter race this outdoor season, so we are pleased with the progress he has made since the indoor season," said Olivet head track and field coach Karen Lutzke. "We are looking forward to his continued growth as an athlete and a leader on our team."
Brown and the Comets return to the track Saturday at the Davenport University Tune-up. This meet is the final one before Olivet hosts the 2023 MIAA Field Day May 4-5 on the Kolassa Track and inside the Cutler Athletic Complex.
