Olivet College’s Brown competes at 2023 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Olivet College senior Jordon Brown competed today at the 2023 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship today at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Olivet College senior Jordon Brown competed today at the 2023 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship today at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Brown ran in the 200- and 400-meter dash preliminaries but missed qualifying for the finals in both events. First on the track on the 400-meter, where he ran a time of 49.53 seconds. Brown then ran a time of 21.954 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
"We are proud of Jordon and how he competed at nationals," said Olivet head coach Karen Lutzke. "There are not many people who have the opportunity to compete at this meet and Jordon ran both the 400 and 200. His 200 time matched his indoor personal best. Every opportunity to compete at this level helps him develop."
The meet caps an outstanding indoor season for Brown. He won the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) title in both events to earn All-MIAA honors. Brown was named the MIAA Most Valuable Male Track Athlete. This week, he was selected to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Great Lakes Region team.
