Men’s track and field team tied for sixth at MIAA Field Day
ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s track and field team is in a tie for sixth-place after the first day of the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Day, hosted by Albion College and at the Elkin Isaac Track.

ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College men's track and field team is in a tie for sixth-place after the first day of the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Day, hosted by Albion College and at the Elkin Isaac Track.
- Junior Jordon Brown placed fifth in the long jump (22 feet, 3-3/4 inches).
- Senior Isaiah Bailey was eighth in the hammer throw with a personal-best mark of 142 feet, 2 inches.
- Brown and senior Kyle McDowell posted the two fastest times in the 400-meter dash preliminaries. Both had personal-best times at 48.72 and 48.86 seconds, respectively.
- Brown ran the second-fastest prelim time in the 200-meter dash with a personal-best mark at 21.71 seconds.
- Sophomore Hayden Germain advanced to tomorrow's finals in the 800-meter run. He had the fourth-best preliminary time at 1:57.26.
- Also running season-best times in the preliminaries were:
- freshman Jackson Arkles in the 800-meter run (2:09.47)
- freshman Kameron Newman in the 100-meter dash (11.73)
- freshman Kayden Shrock in the 400-meter dash (52.91)

- Day two of the 2022 MIAA Field Day gets underway tomorrow morning with the remaining field event finals, starting at 10 a.m. Finals in the track events begin at 1:30 p.m.
