Men’s track and field team finishes second at Olivet Triangular
OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s track and field team placed second at the 2022 OC Triangular inside the Cutler Athletic Complex and on the Kolassa Track. The Comets totaled 125 points, which was 18 points less than first-place Albion College. Alma College took third with 87 points.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's track and field team placed second at the 2022 OC Triangular inside the Cutler Athletic Complex and on the Kolassa Track. The Comets totaled 125 points, which was 18 points less than first-place Albion College. Alma College took third with 87 points.
- Junior Jordon Brown took first-place in the 200-meter dash (22.31) and long jump (22 feet, 6-1/4 inches). He was also second in the 100-meter dash (11.15).
- Senior Kyle McDowell captured first-place in the 800-meter run (2:04.02).
- Sophomore Hayden Germain led a 1-2 Olivet finish in the 1,500-meter run, as he edged junior Chase Mendham by 4/100th of a second at 4:18.61 and 4:18.65, respectively.
- Mendham won the 3,000-meter run in a school-record time of 8:56.64.
- Germain finished first in the 400-meter hurdles (1:00.54).
- Freshman Jackson Arkles took first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:38.66).
- The 4x400-meter relay quartet of Brown, Germain, McDowell and freshman Kayden Shrock was first at 3:27.03.
- Junior Denver Orlando placed first in the pole vault (13 feet, 9-1/4 inches).
- Senior Isaiah Bailey was first in the javelin throw (124 feet, 1 inch).
- The Comets are back in action next weekend at a to be determined meet. The originally scheduled competition at Hillsdale College has been cancelled.
