Men’s indoor track and field team participates in Red, White and Blue Classic
YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s track and field team participated in the Concordia University Red, White and Blue Classic today at Ypsilanti Lincoln High School.

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Olivet College men's track and field team participated in the Concordia University Red, White and Blue Classic today at Ypsilanti Lincoln High School.
- Junior Jordon Brown finished third in the long jump with a personal-best indoor mark of 21 feet, 4-3/4 inches. He also placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a personal-best indoor time of 22.76 seconds.
- Freshman Kameron Newman had a season-best in the long jump at 19 feet, 8-3/4 inches.
- Olivet competed in a 4x800-meter relay for the first time in school history at an indoor meet and clocked-in at 8:03.18, which converts to 8:10.09. Running on the relay were Brown, senior Kyle McDowell, junior Chase Mendham and sophomore Hayden Germain.
- Senior Zac Schneck ran a personal-best time of 1:30.16 in the 600-meter dash.
- Junior John C Downey posted a season-best mark of 39 feet, 9-1/4 inches in the triple jump.
- Junior Byron Pearce had a personal-best indoor mark of 43 feet, 10-3/4 inches in the shot put.
- Sophomore Zach Liddle also recorded a personal-best in the shot put at 38 feet, 9-1/2 inches.
- Freshman Jacob Kelley notched season-bests in the shot put at 35 feet, 2 inches, and weight throw at 36 feet, 2-3/4 inches.
- Olivet competes in the Grand Valley State University "Big Meet" next Friday.
