Men’s track and field team places second at Spring Thaw
ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s track and field team placed second with 127 points at the Spring Thaw, hosted by Albion College and inside the Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium.

ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College men's track and field team placed second with 127 points at the Spring Thaw, hosted by Albion College and inside the Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium.
- Sophomore Jordon Butler was a double winner, taking first in the long jump (6.71 meters) and javelin (42.59 meters).
- Freshman Cameron Smith posted the fastest time in the 5,000-meter run at 16:09.81.
- The 4x400-meter relay quartet of senior Tyler Peck, freshman Hayden Germain, sophomore Jordon Brown and junior Kyle McDowell was first in 3:19.47.
- Senior Jacob Smith had the second-best mark in the shot put (15.33 meters) and discus throw (41.24 meters).
- Sophomores Denver Orlando and Paul Muir were second (4.20 meters) and third (3.93 meters), respectively in the pole vault.
- Brown took second in the 200-meter dash (22.85) and third in the javelin (42.59 meters).
- The 4x100-meter relay team of freshman Charles Miller, Brown, Butler and sophomore William Reed finished second in 42.84 seconds.
- Germain clocked-in with the second-fastest time in the 1,500-meter run at 4:15.55.
- Sophomore Chase Mendham finished second in the 800-meter run (2:03.28).
- Peck was third in the 400-meter dash (51.99).
