Men’s indoor track and field team finishes third at Trine Indoor Meet
ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College men’s track and field team finished in third-place at the Trine University Indoor Meet at the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center. The Comets totaled 128 points to finish behind Trine (188) and Hope College (137). Alma College was fourth with 52 points.

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College men's track and field team finished in third-place at the Trine University Indoor Meet at the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center. The Comets totaled 128 points to finish behind Trine (188) and Hope College (137). Alma College was fourth with 52 points.
- Sophomore Jordon Brown led a 1-2 Olivet finish in the 400-meter run, finishing the race in 50.81 seconds. Junior Kyle McDowell was second in 50.91 seconds.
- Senior Tyler Peck won the 800-meter run (2:03.08).
- Sophomore Jordon Butler captured first-place in the long jump, leaping 22 feet, 6.25 inches. He also placed second in the 60-meter hurdles (8.67).
- The 4x400-meter relay quartet of Brown, McDowell, Peck and sophomore William Reed posted the fastest time in 3:25.48.
- The distance medley team of sophomores Chase Mendham and Zac Schneck, senior Dustin Rutter and Hunter Hillard finished with the second-fastest time at 11:15.93.
- Sophomore Paul Muir tied for the top spot in the pole vault with a 12 feet, 11.50 inch clearance.
- Junior Byron Pearce took first-place in the weight throw with a career-best mark of 45 feet, 7.75 inches.
- Senior Jacob Smith was first in the shot put with a mark of 49 feet, 8.50 inches.
- The Comets are scheduled to compete at the 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Indoor Track & Field Jamboree next Friday, February 19. Calvin University is the host school.
