Men’s indoor track and field team opens season at SVSU Classic
UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s track and field team opened its 2021 indoor season by participating today in the Saginaw Valley State University Classic.

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Olivet College men's track and field team opened its 2021 indoor season by participating today in the Saginaw Valley State University Classic.
- Sophomore Jordon Butler won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.70 seconds and the long jump at 6.30m/20 feet, 8 inches).
- Olivet runners finished 2-3-4 in the 60-meter dash, led by sophomore William Reed at 7.16 seconds. Sophomore Jordon Brown was third (7.26) and freshman Charles Miller was fourth (7.30).
- Junior Kyle McDowell edged Brown at the tape for the first-place performance in the 200-meter dash. McDowell's winning time was 23.24 seconds, and Brown finished in 23.34 seconds. Reed was a close third at 23.49 seconds.
- Running against seven SVSU student-athletes, freshman Cameron Smith placed third in the 3,000-meter run (9:19.38).
- Senior Tyler Peck was third in the 600-meter run (1:25.03).
