Track and field teams participate in Northwood Open Meet

The Olivet College track and field teams participated today in the Northwood University Open Meet at Hantz Stadium in Midland.
The top performances were turned in by freshman David Ray (Lansing/Eastern) in the hurdles. In the 110-meter high hurdles, he finished in second-place (:15.60), and in the 400-meter hurdles, he placed third (:56.90). Freshman Jesse Holmes (Springport) was third in the 400-meter dash (:50.80).
The Comets are now idle until Thursday and Friday, April 30-May 1, when they participate in the 2009 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Field Day. Albion College is the host the championships at the Elkin Isaac Track inside Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium.
