BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The University of Olivet men's tennis team was defeated by Bridgewater (Va.) College, 8-1, today in its final spring break match at the Mapp-Whitelow Tennis Courts.
- Final Score: Bridgewater 8, Olivet 1
- Location: Mapp-Whitelow Tennis Courts; Bridgewater, Virginia
- Records: Olivet 3-6 overall, Bridgewater 3-3 overall
- The Eagles claimed wins in the three doubles flights.
- Bridgewater earned the win with wins in the first five singles flights.
- Sophomore Ryan Ganger won a three-set match at No. 6 singles. He won the first set 6-2 but his opponent rallied to win the last three games for a 7-5 win in the second set. In the match tiebreaker, Ganger fell behind 6-3 before reeling off seven straight points to win it by a 10-6 score.
- The Comets start Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play next Saturday, March 23 on the road at Trine (Ind.) University. The match will get under way at 11 a.m.
