Men’s tennis team resumes schedule, beats Cornerstone 7-2
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s tennis team resumed its 2020-21 schedule, and defeated Cornerstone University, 7-2, this afternoon indoors at the Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College men's tennis team resumed its 2020-21 schedule, and defeated Cornerstone University, 7-2, this afternoon indoors at the Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek.

Records: Olivet 3-1 overall, Cornerstone 2-2 overall
- Cornerstone had only five available players, resulting in default wins for the Comets at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
- Olivet kept momentum going with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
- In singles, the Comets won three of the five contested singles matches.
- Junior Benjamin Morrow and sophomore Sam Vondra won 8-4 at No. 1 doubles.
- At No. 2 doubles, sophomore Kjeil Dickinson and freshman Trevor Lewis earned an 8-3 win.
- Vondra and Morrow had matching 6-4, 6-3 victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.
- Dickinson posted a 6-2, 6-2 straight set win at No. 4 singles.
- The Comets host Lourdes (Ohio) University next Saturday, February 20, at 11 a.m.
