Men’s swimming & diving loses close dual meets to Anderson and Manchester
OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s swimming & diving team fell to Anderson (Ind.) and Manchester (Ind.) universities in a non-conference double dual meet today inside the Upton Center Pool. The Comets lost 131-130 to Anderson and 137-125 to Manchester. The outcome of the meets came down to the last relay.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's swimming & diving team fell to Anderson (Ind.) and Manchester (Ind.) universities in a non-conference double dual meet today inside the Upton Center Pool. The Comets lost 131-130 to Anderson and 137-125 to Manchester. The outcome of the meets came down to the last relay.
- Sophomore Seth Kading was a double winner, as he touched the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle (:50.96) and 200-yard freestyle (1:50.93). He also swam the leadoff leg of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay (3:23.66).
- Sophomore Landon Morgan won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:23.32), and second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.32) and 200-yard individual medley (2:08.01). He swam the anchor leg of the 400 free relay.
- Freshman Cole Patty finished first in the 50-yard freestyle (:23.01) and was the third swimmer in the pool for the 400 free relay.
- Other runner-up performances were by sophomore Treyton Gabrielson in the 500-yard freestyle (5:17.33) and junior Dylan Lyons in the 200-yard backstroke (2:15.02)
- Senior Carter Moore swam the second leg of the 400 free relay.
- Olivet returns to the pool next Friday, November 11, for a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Triangular at Kalamazoo College. The Comets face the host Hornets and Calvin University.
