Swimming teams open season at MIAA Relays
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming team opened the 2022-23 season tonight by competing at the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Relays. Calvin University hosted the annual event at the Venema Aquatic Center. Olivet’s finishes below are among the “A” relays in each race.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's swimming team opened the 2022-23 season tonight by competing at the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Relays. Calvin University hosted the annual event at the Venema Aquatic Center. Olivet's finishes below are among the "A" relays in each race.
- The 3x500-yard freestyle relay trio freshman Bridgette Shroll, junior Jennifer Mann and freshman Kelsee Lawson placed third in 17:17.42.
- The 200-yard medley quartet of Shroll, Lawson, Mann and freshman Sarah Steffens was fourth with a time of 1:59.48.
- The 100-yard butterfly team of seniors Carter Moore, Jacob Ritter and Chris Smith, and sophomore Treyton Gabrielson placed fourth in 45.29 seconds.
- Olivet returns to the pool tomorrow against Aquinas College. The meet at East Grand Rapids High School gets started at 1 p.m.
