Men’s swimming & diving team stands fifth at 2022 MIAA Championship
HOLLAND, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s swimming & diving team stands in fifth-place after day two of the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship at the Holland Aquatic Center. The Comets have totaled 152 points to sit 51 points ahead of sixth-place Alma College and 11 points behind fourth-place Kalamazoo College.

HOLLAND, Mich. – The Olivet College men's swimming & diving team stands in fifth-place after day two of the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship at the Holland Aquatic Center. The Comets have totaled 152 points to sit 51 points ahead of sixth-place Alma College and 11 points behind fourth-place Kalamazoo College.
- Freshman Gavin Sutton totaled 415.00 points on the one-meter diving board to finish in fourth-place.
- Freshman Spenser Keene was eighth in one-meter diving with 327.15 points.
- Junior Takato Timmerman placed eighth in the 50-yard freestyle at 21.61 seconds. His prelim time, 21.39 seconds, was a season-best.
- Freshman Landon Morgan finished 14th in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:01.23. His prelim time, 2:00.13, was a season-best.
- The 200-yard freestyle relay team of freshman Seth Kading, sophomore Dylon Lyons, freshman Treyton Gabrielsen and junior Chris Smith had the fifth-fastest time among the "A" relays at 1:30.80.
- The 400-yard medley relay team of Kading, Timmerman, Morgan and junior Carter Moore, was fifth-quickest among the "A" relays at 3:35.54.
- Also, in the preliminaries, junior Sebastian O'Leary completed the 500-yard freestyle in a season-best time at 5:06.43 and senior Thomas Krüg posted a personal-best time in the 200-yard individual medley at 2:18.68.
- Day three of the MIAA Championship gets under way tomorrow morning with preliminaries in the 100-yard butterfly, 400-yard individual medley, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard backstroke and three-meter diving at 10 a.m. The finals in those events along with the 200-yard medley relay are set to start at 5 p.m.
