Men’s swimming & diving team beats Aquinas, loses to Bethel in non-conference double dual
OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s swimming & diving team beat Aquinas College, 160-77, but fell to Bethel (Ind.) University, 145-120, in a home double dual meet this afternoon inside the Upton Center Pool.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's swimming & diving team beat Aquinas College, 160-77, but fell to Bethel (Ind.) University, 145-120, in a home double dual meet this afternoon inside the Upton Center Pool.
- Freshman Treyton Gabrielson won the 50-yard butterfly in 26.24 seconds and was second in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:10.44.
- Freshman Seth Kading took first in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:52.28.
- Junior Carter Moore finished first in the 100-yard freestyle in 50.93 seconds and second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:54.01.
- Junior Takato Timmerman touched first in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.32 seconds. He also placed second in the 50-yard breaststroke in 28.17 seconds.
- Freshman Gavin Sutton scored first-place points in the one-meter diving with 251.95 points.
- Sophomore Dylan Lyons had the second-fastest time in 50-yard backstroke at 27.62 seconds.
- Kading, Moore, Lyons and Timmerman capped the meet with a first-place time of 1:32.01 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
- Olivet gets back to action Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals next Saturday, January 22, when it hosts Calvin University, starting at 1 p.m.
