Men’s swimming & diving team loses to Bethel in season-opening meet
ELKHART, Ind. – The Olivet College men’s swimming dove into the pool today for an official meet for the first time in 328 days. Unfortunately, the Comets were on the losing end of a 142.5-87.5 score to Bethel (Ind.) College at the Elkhart Aquatic Center in Elkhart, Indiana.

ELKHART, Ind. – The Olivet College men's swimming dove into the pool today for an official meet for the first time in 328 days. Unfortunately, the Comets were on the losing end of a 142.5-87.5 score to Bethel (Ind.) College at the Elkhart Aquatic Center in Elkhart, Indiana.
- Sophomore Carter Moore won the 100-yard freestyle in 49.82 seconds and touched the wall second in 100-yard butterfly.
- Sophomore Parker Brown turned in the second-fastest time in 200-yard freestyle (1:53.96) and 500-yard freestyle (5:25.22).
- Freshman Dylan Lyons was second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.93).
- Sophomore Thomas Krug placed second in the 100-breaststroke (1:10.07).
- Sophomore Chris Smith had the second-fastest time in the 50-yard freestyle (:23.76).
- The quartet of Moore, senior Kolton Epplett, sophomore Sebastian O'Leary and Smith captured first-place in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:36.10).
- The Comets will travel to Holland in two weeks, January 29, to compete against Hope College and Albion College. The meet is at the Holland Aquatic Center, and is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
