On the men's side, Olivet junior Shawn Bergman (Chelsea) took first-place on the three-meter board with a score 513.10 points. Juniors Justin Hulsebos (Wayland) and Andrew Wasson (Grand Ledge) were third (440.00) and fourth (402.40), respectively.
In the men's one-meter competition, Albion's Ty Lattimore beat Bergman by 10.85 points, 477.30-466.45. Hulsebos was third with 453.15 points, followed by Wasson in fourth with 423.80 points. In the women's three-meter, senior Courtney Mich (Bay City/Western) placed second with 442.50 points.
Bergman's and Hulsebos' scores on both the one- and three-meter boards, and Mich's score on the one-meter board met NCAA Championships qualifying standards. However, the field for the NCAA Championships is determined by a review of video of the student-athlete's best dives during the season. A year ago, Bergman represented Olivet at the NCAA Championships.
