Bergman selected to compete at 2007 NCAA Division III Men’s Swimming/Diving Championships

Olivet College sophomore diver Shawn Bergman (Chelsea) will compete at the 2007 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming/Diving Championships March 15-17 at the University of Houston.

Bergman was one of 23 divers chosen by a committee to participate in the one- and three-meter diving competitions at the national championships. He was the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) champion in both events with school-record scores of 440.65 on the one-meter and 439.60 on the three-meter. For his efforts, Bergman was named the MIAA's Most Valuable Diver.

Bergman joins junior Dustin Meisner (Temperance) at the national championships. Meisner will swim in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke.
