Meisner advances to the 2007 NCAA Division III Men’s Swimming/Diving Championships
Olivet College junior Dustin Meisner (Temperance/Erie Mason) will compete in the 2007 NCAA Division III Men’s Swimming/Diving Championships March 15-17 at the University of Houston.
Olivet College junior Dustin Meisner (Temperance/Erie Mason) will compete in the 2007 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming/Diving Championships March 15-17 at the University of Houston.
Meisner will swim in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke. He is seeded 11th in the 100 (:57.19) and 12th in the 200 (2:05.30). A three-time All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) selection, Meisner has advanced to the national championships for the third straight season. He is also a three-time conference champion in the 200 breast and runner-up in the 100 breast.
Olivet is still waiting to find out whether sophomore Shawn Bergman (Chelsea) will have chance to dive at the national championships. The field of divers will be released by the NCAA later this week.
Bergman and Meisner helped the Comets win their second straight MIAA Championship Feb. 8-10.
