OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's soccer team fell to defending Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association champion Calvin University, 2-0, today inside the Cutler Athletic Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Two first-half goals in a span of little less than three minutes were the difference in the game. Colin Nieuwenhuis put the Knights ahead 1-0 at the 14:50 mark. Xtreme Hauk added the second goal at the 17:48 mark. Hauk assisted on the first goal, while Alex White provided the helper on the second goal.
- Calvin finished the game with a 13-8 advantage in total shots, with a 9-3 edge in shots-on-goal.
FOR THE COMETS
- Freshman Jackson Gano and junior Aidan Reynolds recorded two shots apiece, with one placed on-frame.
- Four other players each took one shot.
- Sophomore Nicholas Van Port Fleet was in goal for all 90 minutes and had seven saves.
