KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's soccer team closed out the non-conference portion of its 2024 schedule with a 7-0 loss to Western Michigan University today at the WMU Soccer Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Broncos, ranked No. 11 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches Division I Top 25 poll, scored its first goal just seven seconds into the game. Western Michigan added another goal in the 40th minute to lead 2-0 at halftime.
  • In the second half, the Broncos found the goal often, scoring five goals. The first two came in a span of six minutes, and the last two came in a span of 140 seconds.

FOR THE COMETS

  • Olivet did not generate any scoring chances.
  • Sophomore Nicholas Van Port Fleet was in goal for the first 70 minutes and had seven saves.
