OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's soccer team defeated Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Adrian College, 2-1, on Senior Day this afternoon inside the Cutler Athletic Complex. With the win, the Comets have secured a spot in the 2023 MIAA Tournament.

- Records: Olivet 3-5-6 overall, 2-2-2 MIAA; Adrian 1-12-2 overall, 0-6-0 MIAA
- The Comets took the 1-0 lead in the 14th minute when junior Zachary Stephan found the back of the net. Sophomore Kyle Buchan and freshman Djimo Kouyate were each credited with an assist on the goal.
- The Bulldogs had two great scoring chances later in the first half, but each one was saved off the back line by an Olivet player.
- The score stayed 1-0 at halftime.
- Adrian tied the game in the 52nd minute on a goal by Dante Grasso.
- The Comets scored what proved to be the winning goal in the 68th minute. Kouyate ripped a shot which was knocked away by the Bulldog goalkeeper. Stephan gathered the rebound and sent a shot into the goal.
- Olivet finished the game with a 17-12 advantage in total shots and slight 6-5 edge in corner kicks.
- In addition to his two goals, Stephan tallied four shots.
- Buchan recorded three shots.
- Three other players each had two shots.
- Freshman Nicholas Van Port Fleet picked-up the win in goal. He made one save, while playing all 90 minutes.
- Before the game, the Comets recognized senior Cole Miller who played in his final home game. He had one of the key defensive saves in the first half.
- Olivet heads to Grand Rapids for its final regular season game Wednesday night against Calvin University. Game time at Zuidema Field is 7 p.m.
