HOWELL, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's soccer team came back from a goal down three times to tie Cleary University, 3-3, this evening at Lake Trust Stadium.
- Final Score: Olivet 3, Cleary 3
- Location: Lake Trust Stadium; Howell, Michigan
- Records: Olivet 0-2-3 overall, Cleary 2-3-1 overall
- Lesman Morazan put the home team up 1-0 with a goal in the 27th minute.
- The Comets evened the score with just under two minutes left until halftime when senior Zachary Stephan made a penalty kick goal.
- The Cougars grabbed a 2-1 lead in the 54th minute.
- Olivet answered six minutes when Stephan found the back of the goal off a pass from senior Noah Runnals.
- Cleary went ahead 3-1 in the 66th minute.
- The Comets used an incredible goal by sophomore Braden Abbott in the final minute to tie the game.
- For the game, Olivet had a slight 11-10 advantage in total shots. Olivet placed two more shots, 7 to 5, on-goal.
- Stephan topped the team with four shots, including three on-goal.
- Abbott recorded three shots, and all three were on-frame.
- Freshman Nicholas Van Port Fleet was in goal for all 90 minutes and made two saves.
- Olivet hosts Manchester (Ind.) University Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
