ADRIAN, Mich. – The Olivet College men's soccer team tied Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Adrian College, 1-1, tonight under the lights at Docking Stadium.
- Final Score: Adrian 1, Olivet 1
- Location: Docking Stadium; Adrian, Michigan
- Records: Olivet 4-7-4 overall, 1-2-3 MIAA; Adrian 1-14-2 overall, 0-4-2 MIAA
- Adrian scored its goal in the 14th minute off a scrum in front of the goal.
- The Comets leveled the score in the 79th minute. Freshman Kyle Buchan served the ball into the box, where freshman Braden Abbott was able to get a foot on the ball and slip it past the keeper.
- A short time later, Olivet appeared to have scored the go-ahead goal. But it was taken away when the player was called for being offsides.
- The Comets had six more scoring chances in the final 10 minutes of the game. Five of the shots were saved by the goalie.
- Olivet out-shot Adrian, 16-13, with a 9-5 edge in shots-on-goal.
- Abbott led the way with six shots, including five on-frame.
- Buchan had three shots.
- Junior Carlos Santos made four saves, while playing all 90 minutes in goal.
- Colin O'Neill netted Adrian's goal.
- Brady Musser and Andrew Pope each recorded three shots.
- Jackson Vacca was in goal for the 90 minutes and collected eight saves.
- Olivet closes out the regular season portion of its schedule next Tuesday, October 25, when Calvin University visits the Cutler Athletic Complex for a 4 p.m. game.
